So at first we got all excited about the “Junk in the Trunks” trees in Prospect Park being torn down, what with them being used by “vagrants” and all. And now, the workers went ahead and decided to randomly chuck around the debris–notably, in the lake in Prospect Park.

“This is harming the wildlife habitat and clearly shows the lack of commitment of resources for years,” says Anne Katrin-Titze. “The ongoing erosion and disrepair of the stone bank at many locations around the watercourse has weakened the trees.”
