Burgersmith on Smith Street

How many burgers-per-capita can Brooklyn consume? Meet Kyle Huebe and Blessing Schuman-Strange, who just opened Burger on Smith on Smith Street, hopping into a wildly competitive burger arena.

Judging by these awesome interior shots, you would not be able to guess that Burgersmith specializes in hamburgers. But because it’s Smith Street, this would not be an ordinary burger joint, but rather, a ”farm-to-table” eatery with grass-fed beef from a local butcher. One typical menu item is the Friday Night, a burger topped with fried egg, caramelized onions, roasted tomato, arugula, and truffle vinaigrette. Sounds good, but the issue here may be burger oversaturation:

“Finally, another burger option!” writes an anonymous guest on Pardon Me For Asking. ”5 Guys, Shake Shack, Jake’s Wayback, Smash Burger, Moo Burger, 282 Burger, Dubuque, Henry Public, Prime Meats, and multiple bars on Smith/Court is just not enough variety for burgers. I am glad these guys from somewhere else stepped in and gave the neighborhood what it needs.”
