Some things that people in Brooklyn are saying right now

Emotionally Disturbed Person - BrooklynHeights (Brooklyn Heights, Dumbo)
by Heights Mom on Mon Aug 23, 10 3:19 pm

Some time back I had posted about this on BHB. There is a VERY menacing person who lives on Hicks Street in the Heights. For a while I hadn't seen him, but in the last couple of days I've seen him a lot and it's really scaring me. He followed me once and I've heard stories about him following other mothers with children and menacing people on the subway platform. He is not homeless, he lives in a building his brother owns between Love Lane and Clark Street. He is well known to the police; both they and the Dept. of Health pick him up periodically but he's always released.

Just wondering if others know of this guy, and their experiences with him.

LOST GOLD BRACELET (Brooklyn Heights, Dumbo)
by mgk1191 on Sun Aug 15, 10 10:43 am

I lost a gold bracelet while walking into dumbo from the brooklyn bridge (Sat 8/14).
I know chances are slim, but I'm keeping faith a good samaritan found it. Its very sentimental to me as it was my great grandmother's.
Reward will be gladly given.

Thanks for reading,

Wanted House cleaning/maid service to remove cat allergens (Brooklyn Heights, Dumbo)
by zellycat2 on Thu Jul 29, 10 12:33 pm

I need to find a cleaning company that specializes in ridding an apartment of allergens, maybe even specializing in pet allergens. Or possibly recommendations for specialty cleaning products? (Cat dander is notoriously sticky and hard to deal with.)

My boyfriend is deathly allergic to cats (asthma, too) and he is moving in. I have found a foster home for my three cats, but my apartment must be ridiculously clean before he can live here. Every single bookcase needs to be pulled from the wall and cleaned, everything pulled out of the shelves, every inch and every item wiped clean.

I also need them to understand how crucial it is to get every inch and corner - not just nod, 'uh huh, sure' and give the standard quick wipe.

Thanks!
Jordan
