--->. Note how the reported ages of the injured have changed.
  • Christ, I heard the sirens and helicopters buzzing around. Bet this was drug and or gang related.

All this press will certainly encourage real estate agents to differentiate Eastern CH from Western.

PS The above article sounds like it was written based on this thread.
  • This location is right opposite the Albany projects. People generally avoid buying houses so close to projects since there's often a lot of crime in these high-rises.
Much of eastern CH does not have these shootings, though. Then again, I think it's fair to say there has been more than one instance of gunfire (and a hell of a lot of drug trafficking!) along both Franklin and Nostrand.
  • Yes, this news report emphasizes that this incident is a change from the norm, and for 10 years a block party had been held without incident:

And this report seems to show that the police were busy this weekend in many of the city's historically crime prone areas:   http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/nyc-crime/shoots-armed-teen-brooklyn-article-1.1813273

Kingston Avenue seems to have become a line of sorts.   The area to its west (especially around Brower Park) has become quite in demand.

  • St. John's Park regularly hosts events by religious and other, groups which seek to give area men positive activities:
