Windsor Trio and Friends concert: The Art of Transcription

Art On the Corner is proud to welcome the return of members of the Brooklyn-based chamber group, Windsor Trio, who will present a concert with friends entitled, The Art of Transcription, on October 12th, 3 p.m. The program includes Beethoven’s Notturno, an arrangement of his
String Trio Op. 8 for viola and piano as well as César Franck’s Sonata in A Major for violin and piano, transcribed for cello and piano.
The program will also include British composer York Bowen’s dramatic Sonata No. 1 for viola and piano.

Windsor Trio members cellist Mary Robb and pianist Keiko Asakawa-Golden collaborate for the first time for this concert with their friend and colleague violist Eva Gerard. All three performers are active members in the Brooklyn arts community.
