Saw this article in The Brooklyn Paper, and thought someone here might be bummed if they found out about this the day after. This Saturday at The Lyceum there will be pro-wrestling. There will be former WWF and WWE stars involved.
"The fledgling fighting league aims to channel the halcyon days of wrestling yore, when good guys were good, bad guys were bad, and the punches were — err — fake."

My kids would love this as well, unfortunately I don't see me swinging the $25 a pop for them.
I mean, I _like_ my kids and all, but $25 a head???
I'm half kidding and seriously considering this.
Of course, there _is_ the whole encouraging violence aspect that I, as a parent, should be concerned with.
Maybe.
I mean, it _is_ entertainment though. And admittedly fake. Although they are definitely _real_ athletes.

You're making me want to poke my eyes out with a spoon. Stop that.
Bringing the term thin-skinned to a whole new level!

Thanks Trainsmoke - I just purchased 2 tickets for my son and husband. Just and FYI a portion of your ticket goes to charity and when checking out you have the option of donating to a charity benefiting children, animals, environment or human rights.

Ring of Honor really puts on a great product and still is playing small venues in the area, despite finally graduating to the likes of the Manhattan Center last year. If you really want to see a product geared towards true wrestling geeks, it's highly recommended.
Agreed. In fact at one point in time I applied to be the event coordinator/booker meaning they were hiring for one. Needless to say I wasn't hired, but if I had been the entertainment would be so [ADJECTIVE] consistent you'd be working overtime just to afford as many $25 events as possible. _________________ www.ilovedeleon.com Keep Freedom Free - Buy This Record
