^^ LOL! Yes, I thought it was a pretty well known fact around the area where he lives. I know he likes to eat at Cocotte a lot.

I disagree. Who thinks Cabaki is a bigger Buscemi stalker than me? I've seen him a hundred times and never written about it online, nor have I taken his picture covertly. Cabaki scares me...

OK people - the beauty of that pic is that Buscemi is humble enough to take the subway like an ordinary person!

I most certainly wouldn't be snapping a celeb's photo if I merely saw one walking down the street....if that was the case, I'd be rich considering how many celebs I run into on the streets of NYC! Its all about context....context Smile

And Steve - I just think you're jealous because I'm snapping pictures of another Steve, and not you! Razz

No offense, but your photo of Steve Buscemi is not half as interesting as the images of Britney Spears that Flexichick directed me to in the Longue.

Did you wish Steve Buscemi a happy birthday? According to www.starpulse.com, he turned 49 on December 13.

If you want to be a true psycho stalker, you can pay www.ussearch.com $49.99 and his address -- plus those of all his relatives -- will pop right up.

God, the Internet is scary.

Agreed!

Cabaki, to settle the score, please arrange a photo shoot with Steve -- our Steve -- on the same location. Steve, remeber to pretend to be reading from beneath your baseball cap and unaware that your photo is being taken so when Cabaki posts the photo here, it looks like the work of a true paparazzi. After that, Steve, we will all begin discussing your home address and how to stalk you.

In all seriousness, Steve Buscemi is a cool actor (maybe our Steve is too) and I would be just as psyched as Cabaki to spot him on the F train.

My GF was never a stalker, but when she first moved to NYC she had a weird string of "OMG, guess who I almost ran over with the car today".

The list included Conan O'Brien and Martha Stewart (twice).

Don't feel bad about not knowing him by name...only die hard fans/movie buffs seem to. He always plays these weirdos/strange characters in movies, and many times i have to keep bringing up the crazy characters he plays and they people are like, OHHHHHHH!

Thats a good question. I dont think he would check this site - he probably has a lot more cool things going on than we do.

But after the way I stalked him with my camera, he might know to look... Wink

How about his very recent role on The Sopranos? He played a cousin of Tony's who just got out of jail and was causing mega trouble. Tony had to kill him

Back in high school, my best friend tried out for a part in Trees lounge opposite Busecmi. Thats when I first heard about the incredible Steve Buscemi - at the time I was so young and clueless, I had no idea who he was.

Unfortunately, she lost the part to Chole Sevigny, who had just been to shot to fame with Kids not too long before. But she told me working with him was the most awesomest thing ever.

Maybe because I live in Brooklyn and don't have celebrity sightings often, but I still get excited about 'em.

When I first moved here six years ago, I spotted Robin Givens and Molly Shannon in my first week. Almost ran smack dab into Conan O'Brien once -- he was rushing around a corner and almost collided into me (he apologized). Hmm, who else have I seen... Louis Black, that actress who used to be on "Ed" and is on "Scrubs" now, Nathan Lane, Debbie Harry, Liev Schriber. Oh, and I was seated next to Stanley Tucci and his wife on a flight into LaGuardia from Utah in April; I finally, towards the end of the flight, said, "Sooo, do you just look a whole lot like Stanley Tucci or are you in fact Stanley Tucci?" He was nice.

My favorite role of his was a guest spot he did on Mad About You of all things. He sort of ran away at the end into the subway system as I remember it. I just really liked it...

I walk around completely oblivious. I would not notice if Bigfoot walked down 7th Ave wearing a tutu. Much less Steve Buscemi. Sometimes I'll be walking with a friend, and s/he will say, "Oh my god, did you see who we just passed? That was Scarlett Johannson!" And I say, "Huh? what? we did? where?" All celebs are safe from being stalked by me.

The only one I ever recall noticing was Ric Ocasek, years ago when I lived near Union Square. He said hi to me, which was thrilling.

You might also run into John Ventimiglia (Artie Bucco on The Sopranos) if you pop into Great Lakes on a regular basis.

buscemi came to our stoop sale; i didn't know it was him till he was gone and my friends pointed him out. and connelly walked by us one night on the street, but i didn't notice her either till i was told it was her.

i used to have celeb sightings all the time, i think i don't anymore because i no longer have 20/20 vision. or something.

One of my favorite actors.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Buscemi

Frankly that subway pic looks more like a guy who used to work (perhaps still does) at Community Bookstore, but I'll take your word that it's Mr Buscemi.
