Neither of these places count as affordable, though - and Perfect Paws is in an entirely different neighborhood to boot. Nonetheless, I take my dog there cause I've heard terrible things about that place on Flatbush and once when I took my dog there he had all these little nicks from his groom and it was sad. Not what I was looking for for $80.

I have 2 Pekes and I have used a couple of groomers. But the very best is Rod Leite who works through Prospect Park Animal Clinic at 105 Prospect Park West. You can reach Rod at 347-228-5808. He charges $75.00 per dog for my dogs. He is the best I ever used and my dogs love him. He's gentle and does not tranquilize his dogs (others do belive me!)

thank you!
i agree with livetotravel about Rod from the prospesct park animal clinic. i have taken my dog to him for nail cliping once and he seemed very gentle and affectionate with my dog. but i was hoping to get a bath below $80 where i can take my pup more often... it sure is hard getting used to this prices...

Whatever you do, don't go to Posh Pets.
They broke my yorkie's leg and were very rude and nasty about it.
I most recently took my two dogs to the Animal Clinic on 7th and 12th and they were great. It was $65 per dog...
