Oh Flexi.. Take this seriously!! Lol!
I am a Gramma 3 times over and an expert in losing baby shoes. While under my watch the shoes have disappeared many times. There is something about walking around the hood.. the kid is sitting in the stroller... and you both are basically zoning out and then it happens..
Now when I was a young mom I was zoning out with the thoughts.. "How the hell did I get in to this predicament." As as Gramma I am zoning out with the blissful thought, "Now I know why I got in to that predicament. It is because I can waff through Park Slope with a baby in a stroller and all these people who smile at the kid and then at me are thinking... "Now how the hell did that ole broad get a child that looks just like her and she has got to be over 50 ." WQell.. I can answer that.. I had my first kid when I was 22 years old and saved my "Career" for later!!..
Back to the matter at hand... YOU as the adult are still zoning out and the kid decides it is time for them to shake their feet.. just enough for ONE of those gaddamn shoes to fall off (read that $25 worth of ONE shoe!!) and by the time the caretaker realizes it is toooooo late!! That shoe has evaporated in to the politically correct atmosphere of Park Slope...
Well the last time it happened to me.. the shoe loss that is.. my Son said fah gettaboutit ( cause he was raised in PS) but it did cost near $50 for him to replace the shoes.. now if the kid had been wearing Crocs (which I would never permit) the replacement cost would have been... how much???
I can tell this sotry will full belief that no one will slam me because as many of you know I wear Crocs myself.. but would never let a kid wear them!!!! A child should not wear Crocs unless their fashion sense is fully developed and they can make a choice... Crocs or not?//.. That is the question.. But what less than 8 year old can make such a weighty decision?

Bamm Bamm! Flexi.. you know I love ya!!
Just having fun!!\
You don't think these horrible shoes look nice on kids??
Serious for a moment.. I would not put a little kid in Crocs.. they have no support!! Kid walk around walking OUT of the shoe!!
There was a posting for the link of I Hate Crocs or whatever.. go there .. the stories are something.. the shoes getting caught in escaltors and whatever..
I would like to hear opinions about Crocs for little kids.. my sense of it.. not a good idea at all.. and that has nothing to do with fashion..
My prime directive in taking care of young kids has always been SAFETY since as soon as the little rug rats can get up and walk their prime directive seems to be a suicide mission and my prime directive is to make them survive past their prime directive!!

Yeah , and you know those horrible things are in the trash.
Who the hell would want to come out of their home/buisness and find that crap laying out front? They have property value/customers to worry about. _________________ "Some people make their goals the stars,

Go for it Sweet tea.. I have a pair of red ones on now.. but I also have a pink, lilac, turquoise and celery green pair in the closet along with all my other shoe choices. I just don't think kids should be wearing them at all, unless at the beach for an hour or so. Personally I wear Croics alot and havent lost one yet!

I suggest you post a message over on Park Slope Parents saying you lost a pair of "girl's Crocs" and watch the hilarity ensue!
Raw.. u made me laught.. inspite or because of this very silly post.
No kidding.. What does it cost to replace the shoes? Just pay for it!
Helpful hint.. I write in indelible marker inside all baby and kid shoes our name and address and phone numer.. in case a shoe is lost...
If OP had done that then perhaps even one of those Crocs haters would have returned the shoe .. if it were found.

You hit the nail on the head. I don't really care for them, but I may need to pick up a pair to rag3 people.
