I've had them a few times here in Bensonhurst. The last two times it was the News 12 chopper.

Were they black helicopters? If so - they were UN troops about to invade this great country of ours.

I saw these last week while at Bethpage golf course for an event. The UN general assembly kicked a bunch of people off the course as their Sunday event was rained out.

My child - trying to get to school at the Union St. R train - reported police activity this a.m. - lots of police cars, and the R train was closed down for at least an hour. Have no idea why, though.

Someone was struck and killed by an N train on the southbound Union St. station at around 5am. According to news reports, a witness said that the victim was pushed onto the tracks. Scary stuff.

Traffic is also very backed up again on 4th Av (as it was last night, but that was because of a bad accident on the BQE). Yeah, what gives??!?

Ahh it all makes sense now. I heard tons of sirens somewhere on 4th around Union, about 5:30am?? Then the helicopters around 6am.

I got to the Union st trains around 8:20am and it was a total clusterfuck. No trains, about 200+ people waiting. I waited forever and finally shoved myself into a completely packed local train. Atlantic/Pacific station was the same, utterly fucked up. I was so late this morning.

I have it on good authority that the helicopters are part of an effort to search for and destroy all Sarah Palin supporters before Nov 4th.

And, again, why are they back now? if the train pushing incident happened at 5 this morning, why are there helicopters around now at 11?

Man, I swear I never complain about the helicopters because I never notice them. But this morning, I was like, WTF? I swear someone is going to post about this on the boards. It's sad that someone died.

It is sad that a person died on the subway, but what is the point of areal photographs of a subway entrance.

So I'm guessing when something horrible happens in the subway, the first thing to do is..... call in the helicopters!

good to know.

They're baaaaa-aaaaack...

Traffic copter, maybe? I doubt they can see the BQE and/or bridges from here, though.

Either I have grown accustomed to them, or they only hover on my roof long enough to wake me up slowly and are gone by the time I realize I am awake at 6am for no reason.

wow.

has it not occurred to anyone that when helicopters are overhead
that they are sometimes actually part of "tracking" the suspect ?

i need to go puke now.

That's amazing! I heard a bunch of cars driving outside my window last night! There were like 15 that went RIGHT by my window!

There were also some birds chirping and I heard a man talking to his child!

The sky was blue, and there was a tree and some rocks too!

I mean, it's not out of the ordinary for loud helicopters to be flying overhead every single day or anything with no obvious explanation for them, right? Totally deserving of a mocking post, I'd say. Go get 'em, Brad.

They've never once woken me up and I've never once complained about them. Just wondering why they're there at the oddest hours. But don't let me stop your whining about whiners.

No, the [alleged] biting dogs are in front of John Jay HS every weekend. See other thread.
