Pandora is the shit. It's a music thing where you can set your stations based on what you like and it finds you similar artists. You can choose pre-set stations....or if you say something like you like Coldplay, it might pick Keane and Snow Patrol (ok, maybe people will think that's a lame example, but you get the point).
If you're using 3G, it is pretty solid, with only an occasional pause. i use it with a cassette converter in my car for my 2 hour commute (twice a week) all the way down.
I have "home mix" and "workout mix" and all kinds of stuff on it. _________________ Do not taunt Happy Fun Ball!

yes...you can buy right from iTunes.
Plus, you can rate the songs they play so it gets smarter as you give it more data.
You can skip a few songs per hour, but then you max out. I can't remember how many per hour, but at least 3. _________________ Do not taunt Happy Fun Ball!

03. Facebook
04. Wurdle (a search-a-word type game)
05. Super Ball 2 (like Break Out)

Pandora is a music station that predicts what music you want to hear by typing in an Artist or Song. Apple just made an application so it can be played on Iphones and ITouch. I downloaded it and Synched it but you can't tell it's on my Itouch. How do I get Pandora to play?

Hmm. It automatically goes straight to my station list (and starts playing the station from my last session) when I tap on the app. I can't recall how I set it up the first time I put it on my phone.

On the ipod touch , you have to have an internet connection in order for Pandora to play.
If that's the problem that you're having.I deleted Pandora off my ipt for that reason.
I actually hate my iPhone 3G. I went for the glitz instead of the practicality. In between all the freezing and the constant need to re-sync on iTunes if anything ever goes wrong, and ONLY on a computer it's originally registered on, iPhone is a fucking rip-off. Saying that, I do love the Apps available for it, and when my contract runs out I'm going to switch to a Blackberry and download all the Apps to the new iPod.
So in particular order (although Fieldrunners, Flick Fishing and Vegas21 are the most addictive listed) here is a list of my favorite 20 Apps out of 60.
1. Fieldrunners
2. Annoy A Teen
3. Chopper
4. Flick Fishing
5. Facebook
6. HeavyMach
7. iShoot
8. iDracula
9. Lightning
10. Lost In Space
11. More Cowbell
12. Sushipedia
13. Tap Tap NIN
14. USA Manual
15. Vector Tanks
16. Yelp
17. Wiki Mobile
18. WorldWiki+
19. X-Plane Racing
20. Vegas21 _________________ "I'm a Chain Belt...that's called the Quart of Blood Technique. You do that, a quart of blood will drop out of a man's body."

Shazam is awesome. You hold your phone in front of a music source and it identifies song and artist and even provides a picture and a link to buy it.
Damn, I need to spend the weekend downloading apps.

Here are the rest of mine:
24. Factoidium - Gives you random facts.
Here's one : Sedimentary rocks are used to make cement ,glass ,
fertilizer , baking soda , laundry bleach and aspirin.
You can also do a search for a specific thing you want to read some facts about.
25. Solitaire
26. Checkers
27. Chess
28. CheckPlease - A calculator for figuring out how much to tip.
29. Spel it rite - It's a game that gives you 10 random words and you have to quickly touch the correct spelling of the word. It's a lil tricky.
I've misspelled words that I know how to spell.
30. Math Zombie - Really fun math game. It gives you 10 seconds to combine numbers to equal the number they have in the yellow box.
Once you clear on round the numbers get higher.
31. Free wi-fi locater - Gives you a list of places near your location that offer free wi-fi .
32. Wi-fi trak - I bought this for 0.99 I saw it for free a week ago , tho.
It tracks a lot more open wi-fi signals than the ipod touch finds for you.
If it's an unlocked connection , just click and it will connect.
33. Dictionaire - Type in a word and it gives you the definition. It has a pre-loaded database so you don't have to be connected to the internet to use it.
34. Bounce on - A cute little adventure game that involves a little red bouncy ball. It's only 3 levels though.
35. Snowlite - A snowboarding game.
36. StepTrak Lite - It counts your walking steps and running steps. It keeps track of your time as well.
37. Blackjack
38. Scribble - Draw and color.
39. Hangman
40. iBricks Lite and Brick Free- Brick breaker games. I like both.
41. HoopsLite - Tap to pick up a basketball and then slide it toward the hoop to shoot. Make as much as you can in 45 seconds.
42. Sudoku
43. Deal or no deal lite- Just like the show. It's fun! I gave in and my suitcase had 1 million dollars.
44. Dice - I just like to watch them move around when I shake my ipt. And I like the sounds it makes. Very realistic.
45. Yelp
46. Shotgun Free - Yup , it's a gun. Clock it back and fire. It does the sounds and everything. Boom boom , baby.
47. Banner Free - Write whatever you like and it will display it like a moving digital banner.
I just like to see my name go across......umm...and cuss words. So?
48. Papijump - Make the red smiley face ball jump up up to the top without falling. I can't get poor papi off the first level. Sorry , papi.
49. islots - I don't gamble ,so I pretend....and it's a good thing cuz at the rate I go on this app I'll lose all mine and his and ours and yours.
Addiction is an ugly thing. Makes realistic slot machine sounds.
50. knots - It's like the game Twister. You use your fingers only , tho.
It has a 2 player mode and 3 difficulty levels.Fun.
Done.

Got two new ones:
1. BubbleWrap (free) - Pop as many bubbles as you can in 45 seconds.
My high score is 176.
2. Virtual Pool (99 cents) - So awesome and addicting. I'm on the 6th level. I've made $223,800 , bitches.

3) Tris (Tetris knock-off)
4) Blocked (a sliding block puzzle games)
5) Mafia Wars (is anyone else playing this? I need to increase the size of my Mafia) This RPG is addictive.

I phones tagging (with its ability to recognize songs being played, and then allow you to purchase them) is cool.
...on a related techology, I would like an app that is able to recognize where a person was raised based on their voice.
for example: Female, midwest, Indiana. _________________ Hey you! Enlighten up.

Anyone have this thing yet?
Mind Control, for Fun
By WARREN BUCKLEITNER NYT December 29, 2009, 2:47 pm
KidTech
One of the most talked about toys this holiday season is the Mindflex game ($80) from Mattel. But what is it, and how does it work?
Mattel’s Mindflex game.
After you round up eight batteries (four C’s in the base, plus four AAA’s in the headset), you attach soft alligator clips to your ear lobes and slip a headband over your forehead.
Now that your head is wired, the toy’s microprocessor can start detecting your electrical resistance, or G.S.R. (Galvanic Skin Response). This is the same current used in standard lie detectors. Your Galvanic powers, which exist in any living person, also drive your iPhone screen and computer touch pad.
The microprocessor amplifies the variable current, which is hardwired to a tiny fan motor/Bernoulli Blower. So your G.S.R. level determines how high or low a ping-pong-size foam ball hovers in the air. The science is hardly new, but putting it in a toy is.
The illusion is that you’re controlling the height of the ball with your mind, which, in a way you are. Relaxing makes your G.S.R. change, slowing the fan and causing the ball to drop. Think about your income taxes and the ball might spring up.
As the ball hovers, you can move the fan around a track, creating 3-D maze that is very challenging, on par with a hard marble maze. The combination of mental concentration and fine motor coordination makes this toy not for everyone, which is reflected in the first batch of online ratings.
Yes, the novelty effect is huge, and Mindflex would undoubtedly make an effective sobriety test for your New Year’s party. But only a real mind reader will know if the toy will outlast the first set of batteries. _________________ Hey you! Enlighten up.
