Is your child 2.5 to 3.5 years old? If so, we would like your child to participate in an on-going research study at the CUNY Graduate Center on the relation of language to children's ability to use symbols such as maps, pictures and models.
It is a fun and educational activity! The study lasts about 20 minutes; flexible scheduling options: AM and PM; parents/ guardians receive a $20 Barnes & Noble gift certificate.
Children who have participated in the past have really enjoyed it. The study involves your child hiding a small Mickey Mouse doll in a model and then searching a room for a big Mickey Mouse doll. The findings may help us better understand the role played by language in children's development The study is being conducted by Professor Bruce Homer, at the Graduate Center, 365 Fifth Avenue (5th Ave and E. 34th St.), NYC.
If you would like to participate, or if you have any questions, please contact Natalya Petroff at 212-817-8298
