Next Midnight Bike Ride, this Monday 6/29.
Meet at 11:45pm at the base of the arch in Grand Army Plaza.
We will do one or two loops around the park. Afterward, we will get drinks at Franklin Park.
Newbies, come out! Don't worry, this is a casual ride, not a race.
If it's raining, I will edit this so that we can try again on Tuesday.
FYI- if you fail his Friday bike quiz questions today you get directed to this video...

I've been saving a tweed sports coat for just this occasion.
...we could use it Saturday night, unless it rains _________________ Many people say that good is the enemy of great. Those who actually get things done believe that great is the enemy of good.

Stuff like that is why us fixed gear riders get a bad rep. I just want to trackstand in peace
I am down for a midnight ride though. _________________ "Is this really, the way it is?

Cool-
I think the mockery is just for fun--at least that's how I take it. Bikesnob makes me laugh. Trackstand in peace, I say.
Anyways...if you're gonna sport some tweed, you might need one of these as an accessory.
I like this idea. Maybe I need to get the Pashley out for this one.

The other "stuff" is probably more damaging to your rep, trust me. _________________ Walking on the beaches looking at the peaches.

Unfortunately, I'm working the night shift all weekend.
How about Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday night this week?

I'd be in for Monday or Tuesday, assuming it doesn't rain

true, why ruin a weekend midnight.
...we should do this early next week. Maybe there will be a lack of rain. _________________ Many people say that good is the enemy of great. Those who actually get things done believe that great is the enemy of good.

Monday night looks potentially better precipitation-wise.
Shall I global this, or does anyone want to discuss more first?
I think for either night, 80 degrees is too hot for tweed.

Sure, global it.
...but I think people who wear tweed should be bought beverages by those who didn't.
(which means you might see me in tweed) _________________ Many people say that good is the enemy of great. Those who actually get things done believe that great is the enemy of good.

I have access to my neighbor's bikes for people who do not have bikes.
...two people could borrow bikes from me. If Mrs.Why decides to sleep instead of ride (...very likely), 3 people could borrow bikes.
Fatsos without bikes have no excuse.
...you now must ride with us Fatsos, who happen to have bikes. _________________ Many people say that good is the enemy of great. Those who actually get things done believe that great is the enemy of good.

This is DEFINITELY ON for tonight unless it suddenly starts raining between 11:30 and 12.
If anyone isn't interested in riding but is still up for a hang, we will be at Franklin Park afterward (probably around 1am). If you haven't met us before, PM me, and I'll give you my cell phone number.
I'm not even going to pretend that I intend to stay awake for this tonight. Some of us have classic 9-6 jobs...unfortunately I'm one of them.
Enjoy!

Perfect weather,and an awesome ride...
We wound up at Sepia afterward instead of FP. I love it there when the front windows are open.
I slept very well and woke up without a hangover...
