Double Parking for The Lord

The double parking during church services on Dean St. is getting totally out of hand. Today I saw a few cars which were doubleparked in front of open curb spaces!

I've started my own 311 calling campaign about this, it really irks me. Why is it that people think it's ok to break the law because they are going to church. Maybe I should start a religion based around not moving my car on ASS days.

It is frustrating, but I have found that the church reps will move the cars if you approach them.

I'm with you on this. Let's park our cars where we know they will be double-parked in front of by church going folk. Then let's start calling the precinct and 311 until something gets done! This selective enforcement of the law is nothing more than discrimination. Either enforce the law evenly at all times or not at all.

What days are ass days? Now there's a faith I can really bite into!

The constition states the necesary "seperation of ASS and state", it should apply to church's as well

ASS = Alternate Side of Street

I know that the church people will move them if I go down to the church, find someone, and then walk all the way back, but that is a pain. I shouldn't have to do that, especially where there is parking all along Pacific St. for the faithful.

I mean, if I parked in the "reserved for Clergy" space on the street (which I'm pretty sure is illegal because I don't see how they can lay claim to a street space) I'm sure that they would flip.

Can we officially start calling the parking shuffle ASS worship? I could totally dig that.
