Up late (or early), and got this from the reports police send out to the press.
Charles Kearney, an 88-year old man from 754 St. John's Place, was struck and killed around 12:30am on Thursday morning (7/26) while crossing from the east side of Rogers Ave. to the west side.
He was struck by a 1998 Ford Suburban traveling northbound on Rogers Avenue, driven by a 19 year old man who waited at the scene of the accident. Kearney was taken to Kings County hospital where he was pronounced DOA. No arrest or summonses issued.
