You got me on this one. I'm oblivious. That's what my monthly maintenance payment is for.

I have landlords who deal with this, but I've noticed that if there is a small quantity of leaves, they sometimes get swept into the street. If there's a lot (like after heavy winds and/ or rainfall) people tend to bag them.
Of course, if you sweep the leaves into the street, there's always a chance that they will blow back onto your sidewalk, or someone else's...

Crunching through the leaves is my favorite fall activity. I am delighted when there's a nice derelict pile in front of someone's home.

Of course, when they're all wet and soggy, that's not nearly so enticing.

I bagged mine last weekend, with another round to go in the backyard.

None of mine are crunchy enough to enjoy stomping through. *sigh*

My landlords told me Tuesday, that the garbage folk wouldn't take their bagged leaves because of the "worm issue". I thought this only applied to wood. What gives? I know they've picked up leaves plenty of other times recently, since my landlords are overly dilligent about sweeping. They're out of town for a while and I volunteered to be on leaf patrol... what gives?
