Selling Meat Out of the Back of a Van

This area of the site is kind of slow, so here's the 411 on where you can buy meat on the street from!

Who needs "Fresh Direct" when we have this stuff!

Was walking up Atlantic between 4th Avenue and 3rd Avenue and this African-American guy dressed like a butcher shouts out at me:
"Hey buddy? Wanna buy some steaks?"

Turned to the curb and looked and lo and hehold the back of a white van was open and two other guys--dressed like butchers--were selling meat! Heck, is this where Chris Rock's dad got that case of sausages from on "Everybody Hates Chris"?

Shook my head "No..." and walked away and the guy then starts shouting!

"Hey! Hey! We have! T-Bone. Porterhouse. Got some shrimp also..."

As Yakov Smirnoff would say "Only in America!"

is that block prospect heights? i've lived there for a year and have been uncertainly calling it boerum hill, as delightful/ mildly clueless broker told me....

alternatively, i just call it little mecca.

Has anyone seen these guys lately?

i'm broke i should start selling mysterious meat out of my van. hmm free range chicken(pigeons) for like a buck a pound!
