laundromat with atmosphere?

I live between Franklin and Bedford and am sick of battling screaming children and inconsiderate people who take up 3 seats in that smelly 24 hr place near St. John's Place on Franklin. Is there any quieter laundromat to spend an hour and a half? Or a place where there's an adjacent cafe? Anywhere kind of... nice? I am willing to travel a few more blocks. Enough is enough!!

Try Ali Laundromat right off Washington. I forget the cross street but it's like 3-5 blocks north of E.P. on the left side of the street. The owner is always there, and he's really friendly to everyone who comes in.

There is a laundromat on the corner of Park and Franklin which is directly across the street from Saje. Haven't done clothes there, but I've poked my head in a couple of times and it didn't seem horrible.

I think dropping a load in and then heading across the street for some coffee or tea might be a bit more relaxing than your current spot.

I use the same Laundromat as homeowner does. It's pretty decent.

Yeah, I've thought about that one at Park. Maybe I'll have to try that coupled with downtime at Saje. Anyone have experience with it?

The one thing that's nice about the 24hr one I mentioned above is that they take tokens that you can buy with any denomination of bills, so you never need change.

I drop my laundry off at the Park and Franklin laundromat so I don't know what it's like to stay there. I've never seen it crowded though and David (the guy who owns it) is very nice. If he's not there when I go to pick up my laundry he has me take it and pay him later. He's very laid back and it's not expensive.

I know it's far but I've been using the 24-hour laundromat on Grand and Prospect. It's a hike but there is plenty of seating and machines at any hour.

My friend does laundry there while hanging out at Saje. I haven't heard any complaints, but I'll double check with her and post if she says anything worth noting.
