    Mittens is, indeed, out:

"If I fight on in my campaign, all the way to the convention, I would forestall the launch of a national campaign and make it more likely that Senator Clinton or Obama would win. And in this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign, be a part of aiding a surrender to terror," Romney told the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington.

More baseless, manipulative FUD for the party drones. Rove write that for him?

    What a d*ck.

    Good riddance.

    ^^ Hah, nice BT.

Was in process of writing same as you posted, it seems.

Definitely worth repeating to let his words sink in for full effect, so I'll leave mine in.

    So's that the new slogan?

A vote for Senator Clinton or Obama = surrendering to terror.

Are these people forgetting that 9/11 occurred on their watch? (CPAC attendees / party leadership, not Romney in specific)

And that their reckless actions and attitude since have engendered far more hatred for the US abroad?

If it weren't so tragic, it would be sheer comedy.

***EDIT: Ah yes, preaching, choir, etc. Sorry. Had to vent.

Hah, check out Wonkette's live blog of Romney's resignation speech at CPAC:

    MITT'S A LOSER / Liveblogging Mitt's (Maybe) Quitter Speech

    Some fine comedy in there.

Jon Stewart summed it up well that very night:

Of particular note is the sequence from 1:26 to 2:32.

Hah, right on the money, as usual.
