Subject: Brooklynian Mods aren't fair

Split from the about some bookstore that isn't the organic grocery store thread on the Fort Green board:

Wow...there's threads about strollers in a bar that turns into parents in park slope versus singles, that's almost ten pages that doesn't get stopped, split or revised. There's literally hundreds of threads that take on their own life...but me and someone(who's not even a registered user which is encouraged) can't have dialogue about the area in which we live?! Then you triviliaze it but putting "some bookstore" that's not the organic shop like I started the thread w/ a dumb title like that. That's not right at all...but this is forum about the neighborhood?!

Not at all, more like a cyber social club wishfully awaiting the day the neighborhood becomes trendy so saying "I live in clinton hill" will be just as impressive as saying "I live in park slope" amongst their social circles. All the while disregarding the very thing that bought them here(affordability) will not be afforded to someone in their same position years from now. Yep real neighborly, communal thinking.
What a joke...

Agreed bksnest. The mods here are extremely biased and are unapologetic about it. These threads should allow for all points of view. Unfortunately a select few like to decide which points of view are heard. I have seen people been attacked in the park slope forum with no comments from the mods or thread splitting. In this forum all it takes is having an unpopular opinion to have your thread locked. Something needs to be done to address this.

You can discuss it here, on the Ask Brooklynian forum or you can PM an admin with any concerns if you feel that a moderator has acted unfairly. Moderator decisions are reviewed by the entire group of moderators (there are more than a dozen), and even those decisions are subject to being overturned by one of the admins (dailyheights, Emily, or Apollonia666).

Well I would like this post to be moved back to the thread about the bookstore. I think the point I made about affordability is a valid one among others. I'm not asking Brooklynian anything. The question is a rhetorical one. Thank you in advance.

Meta-discussion about moderator decisions will always be moved to this forum. If you feel this was inappropriate, you can PM an admin, but your post was about the splitting of the topic, not about the topic itself.
