Tina Fey's endorsement of Hillary was kinda interesting on SNL last night - a little too hectoring for my post-feminist soul however.

I long for the days when SNL was relevant.

Don't know... This was pretty F-in' funny.

Watch it quickly before NBC takes it down. If the link isn't working, search youtube for "snl huckabee".

    Re: Huckabee on SNL: ^

Seems like a nice enough guy with the ability to make fun of himself.
Unfortunately, he is so conservative he doesn't believe in science, evolution, biology, geology, chemistry, physiology, dinosaurs or gravity. Oh, yea, and he wants to be in charge of women's bodies and reproductive organs too.

Not sure a guy like that can be in charge of our Nation. He's bound to tell us a a natural disaster or economic recession is "God's will". We've had 8 years of that already.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of Huckabee politically AT ALL. I hope I didn't convey that message. I just thought he was funny on SNL.

Oh, Huckabee is a scary guy when it comes to his politics but he's been pretty damn funny on the Colbert Report. I have a hard time understanding how he can have such a great sense of humor and still be a conservative douchebag.

Disclaimer: I am currently very sick and therefore have a bad habit of saying the first thing that comes to mind.

    Yep, totally.

He's all very amusing and affable until he gets a hold of Supreme Court nominations and a veto stamp (following major breakthroughs in porcine aviation).

But I do give him credit for going on the shows and having fun with all this. The comic relief found in taking himself less seriously on these shows is very welcome, especially in the context of all other candidates being micro-analyzed and spun every which way for however their shoelaces (or hoodies) are tied on any given day.

"Electing the guy you could have a beer with" as the main qualification has been done and this country is clearly so over that at this point, but I am definitely amused to see that someone's still funding this guy's quest for further delegate count windmills and other fumblings and diversions along the lighter side of things (in approach, forgetting issues for a moment).

Keeps the overall dialogue interesting and enables opportunities for folks like Ron Paul and Bloomberg to perhaps go independent to claim their different parts of the spectrum, and perhaps Romney to duck back into the race, since Election 2008 is apparently a remake of It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.

Oh, and that Farce Nader guy.

    But I digress...

As my boyfriend says, "Mike Huckabee is the nicest guy I will never vote for"...

All other considerations aside, we can't have a president named "Huckabee". That's just too silly.

It's like that time people figured out there's no way we could have a president named "Dukakis".

How did we ever end up with a Governor Pataki, anyway?
