I know people have mentioned this restaurant before, but I am not sure they gave the correct address. Its on 678 Franklin between Prospect and St. Marks.

Its very good! We got take-out - lamb vindaloo and channa masala and naan, and I would definitely go back again. I was a bit nervous since I love Indian food but have eaten at so many mediocre Indian restaurants. This one has basic dishes - lots of vegetarian, but also madras and vindaloo curries, tandoori, also biryani. The prices are decent ($8.95 for a large portion of lamb vindaloo with lots of rice). I don't think they have a liquor license.

The phone is 718-230-7640. I hope people try it out, since I really hope it sticks around.

Wifey and I order all the time. They're good.
Although on rare occasions the same dish will taste different - like there's a substitute chef in the kitchen - but otherwise consistently good.

If you've ever had Joy Indian on Flatbush - same owners same menu.

we order for them quite often also and we really like them. I was at the restaurant once and the owner was very nice and friendly. I think that they get more take out/delivery business than sit-ins.

I was really glad last summer when I moved to CH and could get good Indian food delivered to my door.

In fact....this weekend, after trying out the chip shop, I'll order from Bombay!

This forum is beginning to make me hungry.....

i adore this place. the owners are amazing. we usually get delivery because we're incredibly lazy but it's worth it to sit in. the service is the best I've found on franklin to date. the food is the best indian i've had (especially considering the very reasonable price). the shag ponir is my fave (recommended for the vegetarians) and also the meat samosas are fantastic. no liquor license but am i the only one who prefers a good byob?

the liquor store next door has changed hands (again) and now has a very respectable wine selection.
