WTF? 4 or 5 shots, kids scattering, cops are out kicking at the sidewalk. Delissa looked really shook up - can't go downstairs cause I got the kid at home, but anyone know what happened?

    Woa!
Seems a bit too light out and early in the day for these shinannigans.
Any particulars? My gf and i walk by there to Lincoln Pl every night.
That ConEd box outside Cheryl's/Sepia is always 'faux' tagged with these kids' names, never thought they'd escalate their behaviour to this.

Yeah - I heard about this. Apparently someone wearing a black jacket on the corner of eastern parkway and underhill was shooting down the street towards the bodega. Crazy! 5 oclock, people coming home from work. What the hell is wrong with these kids?

Yeah, my kids' babysitter was in Mount Prospect with the boys when she heard the shots and saw a couple guys running...

I think all that tells us is that everything doesn't make it on to the Gothamist newsmap.
Or rather, the NYPD does not release a little slug of info to the press about every incident they are called to.

Yeah, Gothamist is not the definitive source for crime news. They just buy a syndicated data feed from some company called Breaking News Network ( http://www.breakingnews.com/ ). It's not really clear where BNN gets their crime news.

Underhill's trend as an avenue of gunfire is certainly pervasive. Our google crimemap now has six seperate shooting incidents in the past seven months.

Gothamist does not get it's info directly from the police dept. It's get the info from Breaking News Network which has people sitting around listening to scanners all day and entering the calls into a pager system. For a monthly fee you can subscribe to BNN and they provide you with an alph-numeric pager that alerts you to anything that fits your predetermined criteria. (It also uses MNS but I'm not sure what that is. I'm assuming it's a similiar service).

There was certainly a shooting at that location. The perp(s) and target(s) all fled the scene prior to police arriving. There were several witnesses but they all claimed they didn't see any faces.

So the folks that will be living in the back corner of the big Meier building will have a great view of all this action!

The million-dollar places are probably for the hired help...it's the $6M units that get me...

I think Meiers buildings have rules on what kind of window treatments residents can put up....at this rate, Pottery Barn may have to make a new speculative market in kevlar weave curtains and hope that Meiers approves.

At the rate this thing is being built, Brooklyn will be crime free!

It's totally apparent that they have yet to sell the 6 million spread, and probably not too many of the 1 million. Meier can't even afford to finish the damn thing until he sells them!

I love the Beyonce-bought-the-penthouse rumors though (not true.....sigh). Then again, maybe it was the Meier hype machine that started it.

You know, for 6 million dollars I want 15 foot f*cking ceilings. The Corcoran listing used to show the ceiling height as 8.9 feet but it's mysteriously disappeared. Maybe people don't want to pay through the nose for some claustrophobia.

It is seriously crazy that this happened today. Does anyone have any more information? Was anyone hurt? Wtf?

A.) It is definitely crazy, but it happened on Monday.
B.) If there is more information, it would have been posted already (my friendly neighborhood Prospect Heighters would have gotten the scoop by now, right guys?)
    C.) See B.
    D.) Yes- totally f*cked up.

Is anybody surprise it wasn't on gothamist. How else would the crime stats be misrepresented to increase the prices in this fine safe neighborhood.
