Soldier throws puppy off cliff.

A video was posted on YouTube a few days back showing an American soldier tossing a helpless puppy over a cliff for the fun of it. I was absolutely shocked and horrified to see the video...it's the closest i've come to throwing up watching something online.

The video can be found at . I must warm you that it's extremely disturbing so watch it at your discretion.

Apparently, as news catches on of the horrific act, people have been tracking down the solder shown in the video and have been making threats against him. Here is a good follow up article: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/iraq/article3481977.ece

I'm just really angry (and sad that there are people out there who are this sadistic) so i thought i'd spread the word to other dog lovers out there and hopefully there will be some way to bring justice to this case. It's also sad because it not only brings more negative attention to America but also gives our troops a bad name in general.

I'm not the biggest dog lover, but hate anyone who hurts harmless and helpless animals. Such a display of sadism is disturbing.

Is this what our military does? Do we pay for big guns so soldiers can make videos that glorify animal abuse?

I made the mistake of watching the Daniel Pearl beheading video not knowing what it was. So I don't plan on watching this one, and would urge others to do the same. It's not worth it.

Agreed. I did not watch Pearl's video. I made the mistake of watching the puppy video. You will miss nothing if you don't watch it. This is one incident where it's actually better to skip the video and just read the news coverage of how bad Americans look on an international level when they video tape themselves doing evil things to innocent victims.

I'm not going to watch it...but I saw the post about it on Snopes.com . . . apparently it is being looked into to see if it's authentic...but even if it's not, what a horrible thing to do.

Looks like the marine who did it just got dismissed from the force, and another involved was disciplined.

Just in time for another idiot soldier to throw a grenade at a flock of sheep.

This kind of stuff pisses me off, but to fair, the grenade in that video looked a lot like a flashbang to me. Sure enough, clicking on the youtube logo and viewing the comments, many others seem to think the same.

Still not cool at all (what the hell, I know these guys need to keep entertained, but aren't they supposed to be professional??), but it's not quite as bad as throwing a frag grenade into a flock of sheep.
