I think you should give in order to receive - what's your interest and point of view?

    Looking to buy the joint?
Looking to have your birthday party on the patio?
Wondering if guys/neighborhood drunks/lounge singers are welcome?

I hate the fact that they have a great happy hour. Really, it's not good for my health.

Ginger's is a great old school, old timer's lesbian bar. Although like the neighborhood, it has changed its demographic, it's still a place where women can go play pool, hang out in the backyard, chill etc...Great, friendly atmosphere, including the genuine "old bar smell!"
:D I was worried it was going out of bizniz when I saw the topic. Very happy to hear it's not. Ginger's is a part of Park Slope.

Yea, thats one of the reason I was attracted to the place. It has amazing old school charm. The other places looked like "theme bars" in comparison.

The location is also a plus. Seems to be in the middle of everything. Has anyone rented the yard for a party?

I love this bar! As long as your down for something a little more laid back and easy going I think this is the place to be. It's a dive in the very best sense of the word.

Don't love it or hate it. It's fine. Never had any reasons to complain about or praise it. It's OK.

I noticed they took down their Rainbow flag out front...I was worried they were trying to move away from being a great lesbian bar. I love the place but my (straight) male friends would always rather go to The Gate.

I really like that bar, too. it's a great stopping point on the way home from the red hook ballfields in the summer - a bit of cold beer to revive, etc. super friendly staff.
