Recreating 80's-90's Fulton Street...

Subject: Recreating 80's-90's Fulton Street...

I happened to be speaking with one the propieters on Fulton street(between Washington and St.James) this weekend. It seems that most of the businesses are on board to let Fox pictures recreate they way it used to look in the mid 80's to 90's for the movie "Notorious" about Notorious B.I.G.
There's one that definitively said no and a few trying to get some more money, which shouldn't be a problem from Fox. It's nice to know their trying to get it as authentic as possible rather than going to Toronto on some fake looking fulton street. Oh yeah I was also told that they would be making Joloff a game room(where alot of us hung out at times) and that it will star Angela Basset as Biggie's mother Voletta Wallace and mixtape rapper Gravy as Notorious B.I.G.
I love seeing the neighborhood, Fort Greene and Bed Stuy on film, tv etc. I just hope they show the beauty as well as the grittyness. This hood was always a balance between the two.

Whoa, this is awesome! I remember when they transformed DeKalb a few years ago when shooting some scenes for "Munich" -- if this is anything like that it will be really neat & impressive.

They began shooting outside my building on Washington near Fulton! I spoke to someone who told me that they'll be filming in the area for the next eight weeks. Cool!
