No Laundromats!!

I went to do my laundry for the first time in a while since I normally go to my boyfriends with it, and the laundromat on Park Place and Franklin CLOSED!!
I ended up having to walk all the way to Park Place and Rogers Avenue (wtf) to some tiny little laundromat. (I live on Prospect Place and Franklin) Anyone else who used to use the Park Place and Franklin laundromat find one that is closer? I don't wish to walk that far to do my laundry every weekend! I just wonder where everyone is going now....

thanks!

There's a 24-hour place on Franklin between Lincoln and St. Johns. It is usually pretty busy in the morning, but not bad if you go later in the afternoon.

Also, theres one on nostrand & pacific. Its a bit busier then the park pl one but the machines are all newer.

I've been going to the park place one for years b/c of proximity and the owner is nice but I gotta say, at any given time about a third of their machines weren't working and the ones that did were usually dirty.

thanks everyone! I also agree about the Park Place/Franklin laundromat being really gross and half the machines were always broken, but damn it was only a block from my apartment!! :)

I live on the same block, Vampiressa. Half the machines at that Laundromat may have been broken, but the people who ran it were always friendly and helpful. I guess it's off to the 24-hour spot for me.

I'm actually a really big fan of the Park/Rogers one. The people in there are always super friendly and helpful. Plus, it's always clean and even though it's small, I've never been in there when I had to wait for a machine. (Which is why I hesitate to write this.)

That's the one I go to because it is across the street. There are a few closer to the OP for sure though.

That one is starting to get a bit run down these days. I make sure I go in early on laundry days so that I can get dryers. It used to be a few were broken. As time has marched on (I've been using them about a year) more and more have broken, and some washers too. It seemed like last year broken ones would get fixed occasionally, though I didn't really pay much attention. These days, it seems like nothing gets fixed anymore.

But like I said, I still go there, so it isn't too bad. I just make sure to get there early.

Yikes....laundry once a week? I think what you're really looking for is a socks and underwear store!

LOL now that I think of it, I think I do my laundry every other weekend, but dammit, if I have to walk so far, it feels like every weekend!!
