Essex on Coney??

We had noticed they have been closed for a while, so hubby called their number yesterday and found out that they had moved and merged with another restaurant.

The problem is that hubby couldn't understand the name of the new place (he said the woman had a heavy accent). does anyone know what the new name is and has anyone been there since the move/merger?

Try posting this on the flatbush/midwood/ditmas park part of the foum...The Restaurant was located in that area and the new one probably is in the same area or call back and ask the lady on the phone to talk slowly and clearly and get the information from the source.

We would eat at essex on Coney once or twice a year and it was quite the experience in the pastrami/corned beef world.
