Subject: The Cops @ John's Donuts

Ya know I think it's great that the cops from the local precinct patronize a local establishment like John's Donuts every morning for their breakfast and coffee needs.

However do they really need to be more aware of the image they project when they're conducting their business there or on their way there.

Case in point:

After getting my morning coffee and muffin at John's Donuts I came out to cross Mrytle just as a police car was pulling up to the curb and blocking the entire crosswalk.

I gave them the "WTF" shrug as I was forced to walk around the car since the crosswalk was now blocked.

A female officer getting out on the passenger side gave me a sarcastic "Good morning sir".

I commented on their parking job by saying "Come on if I did the same thing I'd get a ticket!"

I just kept walking so their response was pretty much inaudible. When I got to the corner of Willoughby and Hall I looked back towards Myrtle to see that their car was still blocking the intersection. Ridiculous.

I just don't get how they fail to understand how those types of actions cause them to lose respect in the eyes of the public. At least it causes me to lose respect for them.

What you need to do is write down the number on the top of the car and call or write the commanding officer to make a complaint. I tell you it works. I do it everytime I see them doing something they are not suppose to be doing.
