Thanks for the post. I was beginning to think that it was just me.

Ugh--do you think it's a burglar alarm? We had one of those go off in my neighborhood when I lived in PA. The family was on vacation, there was no burglar, and the police claimed they couldn't do anything about it.

Me too!!! I heard it all the way up on Washington Ave. It sounds more like a car alarm. But just going off repeatedly...stop for a second...and start again! Ughh..

better than the ridiculously loud reggae that blasts outside my apartment every weekend. I'll take a nice, regular beeping any day. If I can sleep through my alarm, I can sleep through that.
