Yummy Tacos

So we just ordered Yummy Tacos for the first time...








...ahem...is this place run by Asians?


I don't mean this in a mean-spirited manner at all...just curious.

Yup. You will find that many Mexican restaurants are run by Asians. Happy Fresh Tacos on 7th, for instance, which rocks. Also, Big Pizza used to have Latinos making the Italian food.

just because they're asian, doesn't mean they can't make delicious mexican food...

hilariously enough, though, the family of a kid I knew in high school owned a Chinese food place and decided to branch out. They opened a Mexican place across the street, and I ordered their "spicy chicken burrito" to find that it was very clearly just General Tso's Chicken wrapped in a burrito.

that kind of stuff doesn't fly at yummy taco, though.

I think Yummy Taco is the best worst Mexican in the area!

I feel like 70% of my posts are about the merits of yummy taco, and here's another:
I finally broke away from the grilled chicken burrito tonight because I wasn't that hungry, so I just ordered a single hard taco (99 cents). Wow.... not really a "hard taco," per say, since it was so mushy by the time I got here, but that was about the most delicious 99 cents I could imagine spending... just like one gooey lump of tortilla, beaf, been, and cheese... oh god, so good. I wish I had gotten more.

I wonder if I can convince the yummy taco people to reimburse me for all the free advertising I've provided for them on this board. Reimburse me in burritos.

yummy tacos are not.

i've really never noticed any difference in quality between any of Fresco Tortilla type joints, of which Yummy Taco is one. can anyone really say that Yummy Taco is any different than the place next to Sushi Tatsu?
