I have been to Areo once. I found the ambiance loud and distracting. The food was good however extremely overpriced for what was being offered. As for the best Italian restaurant I would have to whole heartedly disagree with AmEx and strongly urge them to take a trip up to Arthur Avenue in the Bronx and go to Roberto's.

Been there and enjoyed the food, but the waitstaff acted like indentured servants,the clients are very pretentious and loud. We were seated by the window and spotted a middle aged woman pull up in a caddy, open her trunk take out her fur coat, put it on ,walked in and had it checked.

Queen on Court Street is and has been excellent for years , if in the neighborhood give it a try

I lived above Areo when I first moved here in 1994 and can vouch for the part about it being loud. I never ate there, so I can't vouch for the food.
