Subject: McCain's "Family Recipes" stolen off Food Network

I found this to be pretty funny. Yeah right, blame it on the intern. Either way the McCain's can afford to hire a personal chef, cooking would ruin her manicure.

Family Recipes, Passed Down From One Site to Another By ELISABETH BUMILLER
WASHINGTON — It was a recipe for scandal.

Until early Tuesday morning, visitors to John McCain’s campaign Web site could find seven of “Cindy’s Recipes,” among them three elegant and healthful offerings: passion fruit mousse, ahi tuna with Napa cabbage slaw and farfalle pasta with turkey sausage, peas and mushrooms.

Only problem was, all three, listed as favorite family recipes of Cindy McCain, Mr. McCain’s wife, were taken verbatim from the Food Network.

A fourth, rosemary chicken breasts and warm spinach salad with bacon, bore a striking resemblance to a similar recipe by Rachael Ray.

That was just so idiotically low.
They would have looked more like "real people" if they'd just linked to the recipes. "Look how normal we are! We like to look up recipes online!"

    Good Housekeeping Makes Good...

Good Housekeeping's editor-in-chief brings Conan some of "his" Irish stew.

Very good point. I'd have at least felt the only connection I possibly have with the McCains at that point.
