I've been living in Bed Stuy on Monroe St btwn Franklin Av and Bedford Ave for 2 years now. When people ask me where I live and I tell them Bed Stuy, they always tell me "oh no that's not Bed Stuy your in Clinton Hills". I was under the impression that the Border of Clinton Hills and Bed Stuy was Classon Avenue. Once your east of Classon that is considered Bed Stuy. Can someone please if i'm really in Clinton Hills or Bed Stuy?! And what is REALLY the western border of Bed Stuy if not Classon Ave?

Subject: You DO live in Bed-Stuy

Sorry to burst your bubble but you DO live in Bed-Stuy since Classon Avenue IS the border between Bed-Stuy and Clinton HILL. (Only one Hill.)

It's the brokers, real estate agents and posters (posers?) on Craiglist who move the border around in order to lure unsuspecting new tenants. Heck I've even seen where my building is in South Williamsburg. It most definitely is not.

    True.

The border is Classon, and it's Clinton HILL.

You guys are so annoying. The original poster was simply asking for clarification. Sorry to 'burst your bubble'? What bubble is that? He/She never said they would PREFER to live in Clinton Hill and even said that he's lived in Bed Stuy for 2 years and has always called it Bed Stuy. And the bitchiness regarding Clinton HillS is just childish.

If all you (collective you) want to do is incite arguments on this board, at least choose arguments that make sense. Jesus.

I'm the original poster of this subject. Thanks for the earlier clarification of the border of Bed Stuy and Clinton Hill. My bubble wasn't burst to find out that I indeed stay in Bed Stuy because when I first moved to this area I was fully aware of where I was moving to and staying. I'm proud of the fact that I live in Bed Stuy and have no issues with saying I do. I've had only a good experience staying here and have no regrets. BTW, i'll be sure to leave the S off of hill next time. Didn't realize it would cause such a uproar.

Shot out to the previous guest who was looking out for me. Thanks!!

OP, I don't think anyone was in an "uproar" about the "s" on the end of "Hill". I think it was just a friendly correction.

You're right to be proud to live in Bed-Stuy: It's a great place! :)

I've lived on Monroe St btwn Classon and Franklin for about 4 yrs now. I can't believe the changes of the neighborhood i've seen in that period of time. Back when I moved in, you could easily find a one bedroom apt for about $1000 or a little less. Now, they average around $1500!! Renovations are going on everywhere and they renovated the YMCA on Monroe and Bedford. It's one of the hot spots to move to now. Glad I got in when I did!! :D
