Subject: Idea's for Dog & Myself today, 1-5?

So, I just found out that our entire apartment complex has to get bombed for bugs today, 1pm-5pm. Someone must have had a bad bug situation or something... really glad it wasn't us. Anyways, I have an adorable little pup (picture to the left) and are now homeless for these 4 hours.

Anyone have any ideas on what I can do today for 4 hours!? He doesn't have the bortetella shot, so no go on bringing him to a boarding place for a few hours. Is there any covered areas at Prospect Park that I could sit and read? I'm a law student in the midst of finals and was hoping to just be able to do some studying somewhere.

Thanks all. Still can't believe it's raining today... of all the days. Any ideas would help.

I'm fairly sure that is my only option... however, I'm wondering if anyone knows of any covered areas. It will be raining, unfortunately.

a whole bunch of rustic shelters near the lake. also all the grey boxes and circles are places where you can sit inside. tons of them all over the park.

Yeah, in the southeastern area around the "big" pond there are some gazebos and there's a bigger covered spot near there in the composer-themed statue area, but you may need your own chair/cushion to sit on.

Can't think of any others...good luck!

Cool. I guess I've never really explored Prospect Park before.

Being Homeless for a few hours doesn't seem as bad! :) Thanks all.

    Subject: dog swimming pool

There's an indoor swimming pool for dogs in Manhattan. They have free swim hours on Saturdays. I've been there with my pup - it's not cheap, but it's really fun!

Sorry, can't remember the name of the place. Anyone else know?
