Anyone Seen a Friendly Longhair Orange Stray?

Anyone seen a friendly longhaired orange and white stray. He was wearing a ratty old collar but his fur was so matted it's clar if he once belonged to someone he doesn't anymore. He was super friendly and affectionate and hung out around the Home Dept area in Bed Stuy. if you see him please post back.

I hope it's not the same cat (probably not since it's so far from the place you mention), but yesterday we were walking down South Portland between Hanson and Atlantic and saw a dead matted orange-and-white in a house's front planter. The planter is right off the sidewalk, acting as a barrier to the house whose entrance is not five feet from the planter (read: no front yard). The house is past the soup kitchen.

Did it look like it had been there long, the kitty I saw had a tatty old collar on? Did this one?

I don't remember seeing a collar, but I'm sorry to say that I can't be 100% sure. It didn't look like it had been there long. It was soaked from the overnight rain.
