guess the rent?

this is posted on craigslist almost every day, but it never says how much the owner is asking. care to hazard a guess? even better, has anyone been in touch with the owner about this place? it's insanely enormous.

me thinks a case of "if you have to ask you can't afford it".

Looks beautiful but methinks the poster is a little foggy about when the 18th century was.

Well, they can try to ask for at least $4000 per month, but could easily ask for more if the backyard was nicer....

I know this place. I am a broker and have been inside. the owner owns a lot of property around brooklyn (including the building on the corner of union and 5th that has the clothing store something else). he was asking 10,000 a month not too long ago. he doesn't want any college kids or shares he only wants families. it is a huge house, he did a little bit of work on it. kitchen is bland and cheap. backyard hasn't been landscaped in about 10 years. he doesn't want to sell the house.

$4000 a month for an entire 8 bedroom house is way too cheap! I know people on my block paying $3300 a month for a 3 bedroom apartment.

It seems he is asking $10,000 per month for this home.
