Petit Bassam closed. Anything to replace it?

Hey "Stuy Heights" folks. Does anyone know what happened to Petit Bassam on Lewis right by Bread Stuy? I don't mind so much that it closed b/c I didn't love it. I'm totally out of the neighborhood loop. Does anyone know if they're planning on putting anything in there?

If not, can someone please open a nice neighborhood bar? I would open one... but I'm broke. :P Um... please and thank you.

    FYI. The restaurant opening at the old Bassam space is supposed to be having a big opening party on July 4th. I don't know what time it starts, probably later in the afternoon. Anyway, the new place is called "Peaches" and the owners are seeking a liquor license. Keep your fingers crossed.
