Can you recommend a good general doctor?

I need a new family doctor -- just a regular general practitioner -- in the Park Slope or Prospect Heights area. She has to be female and she has to: a.) be kind and compassionate; b.) not make me wait an hour or so for a scheduled appointment; c.) have a clean and up-to-date facility; and d.) have a receptionist staff that is professional and courteous. None of these qualities is evident with my current (now former) doctor.

Can you recommend someone you like?

If only "Sushipants" was looking for a gyno this thread would be a classic.

There are a ton of these threads already, though admittedly the neighborhood favorite(s) don't meet your primary criterion. Still, I'd have a look. People sometimes recommend Maggie Carpenter, as one name I remember hearing. I've heard decent things about Dr. Joan Stroud, on Clinton and Atlantic, though that might be a little far.
The neighborhood's favorite by far and away seems to be Dr. Raffinan, who's now on 8th Av. and Lincoln Place, and I know he is sharing the practice with a woman, though I haven't heard anything about her. Sorry I can't offer anything more specific.

Found the name: It's Elizabeth Schwartzburt - seems to be well liked by her patients.
