Visit Sunset Park for breakfast, stoops, ice cream, lu

About eight different stoop sales are planned for this Saturday; all are on the park or just off of it.

Come have breakfast at International on 5th and 44th (I suggest yuca and fried cheese - and heart medication) and then take a look at the sales before hitting the park and getting some ice cream from a cart. Alternatively, check out the sales and then have some brunch at Maria's on 5th and 39th.

Here's the rundown: 44th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues will have five or six sales up and down the block. Two are combined on the same stoop. One is indoor due to large pieces (mirrors, furniture) being sold. That's in the middle of the block.

42nd Street between 7th and 8th has two or three sales going on from around 11-2. Pass by them on the way to pick up a sandwich at Ba Xuyen.

So far, no rain date has been set. We're hardy folk, so a shower won't chase us in, but a downpour is a whole 'nother kettle of fish.
