Memorial Gathering to honor Mrs. Kyong Sook Woo

This flyer was given to me by John Davenport who is a community activist .
He left a group of fliers at Pierre's at 10th Ave & 16th St. ,if anyone has some free time please help in the distribution.

I know they didn't want politicians attending and trying to capitalize on a tragedy.

Just got back from the service. It was nice. There was a bag piper and 2 ministers.

There was a large turnout.

The one thing I think they messed up was that there was a neighborhood guy (is that John Davenport) with a megaphone who started and ended the service, but didn't ask anybody (even the family) if they wanted to say something. I'm sure he had good intentions, but it was a missed opportunity.

As an FYI - there is a sign saying the store is going to be open Saturday 9-6. I'm not clear if that's one day only or if they are re-opening. Either way, I'm going to go Saturday to retrieve my clothes just in case

That wasn't John Davenport ,I've been told it was Moe Maloney, one of the owners of Pierre's .

So I heard through the grapevine only 3 or 4 people have actually donated any $$$ to the memorial fund? can we put our money where our sypathies are?
