Woman attacked on Rogers and Eastern at 2pm

I was just walking home from the Botanical Gardens with my baby daughter when I came across a young white woman who had been slashed in the face by a stranger. It was approximately 2pm. There was a small crowd that had gathered around her and had called 911 and were awaiting the police/ambulance. It was absolutely horrible. She was crying and holding her face/nose together. One woman that had witnessed the attack, said the victim did not know her attacker and it looked as if he was trying to rob her. He cut her face and then ran away into a nearby building. The ambulance arrived and helped her up. The bystanders said her nose was sliced. It is a sad, sad day here and I am shocked by the brazen behavior of this assailant.
Be aware and be careful.

Shit. Shit shit shit. This really pisses me off. I REALLY hope there were eye witnesses or maybe (hope against all hope), that someone chased this asshole. In broad daylight, it just blows my mind. Wonder if it was a crack head or a stupid kid...
