need a place to write

I need to escape my full-of-guests apartment and find a way to get some work done. Can anyone recommend a place (anywhere in Brooklyn) where one can feel comfortable camping out with a laptop all day without getting the evil eye? Ideally somewhere with coffee and snacks...

How about the library? :) The main branch at Grand Army Plaza has a sort of cafe right in the main hall.

My (no longer) secret spot - The Flying Saucer on Atlantic between Nevins and 3rd Ave. Free WiFi all day, plus yummy sandwiches and I think they serve Gorilla coffee. They close pretty early (7pm I think) but they're totally cool with folks chilling for hours with laptops.
