Ideas for a party (bris!) spot?

Anyone have any good ideas where one could hold a bris for about 40 people? I'm looking for an empty room/hall, not a restaurant or lounge.

Thanks!

Camp Friendship... 8th street between 5th and 6th ave.. This space is used for voting as well as other functions. Capacity is more than 40 but if you want to have space at an odd time (traditionally Brises are in early morning) I bet it is available.

I recently went to a Bris at a close friends house for her new grandson. the Mohelette (woman version) was terrific and she is a pediatrician with 30 years experience. If you want more information on that pm me.

I have no idea what your circumstance is but most of the time it is best to have a Bris at home.. for momma and baby's sake and save the "welcoming" party for a time that is further up the road from delivery.

Try any of the local shuls. We called Beth Elohim and they would have done it had the bris not been held on a day they were closed for some renovation. The fee was not much, but I forget exactly how much.

May I also suggest that you let Fairway cater it. They do everything and the food is fantastic!

The Old Stone House on 5th Ave could be another good choice. It's a nice space and not too expensive to rent out.
