I'm in PS off 4th ave and I don't notice them that often. We do have a very lovely Cardinal that comes around and cheers me up. Lysiak, what mag do you work for, out of curiosity?

You can hear mockingbirds, cardinals, night hawks, pigeons, doves, geese, finches, starlings (who in turn are great mimics), parrots by the Bay Pkwy Cemetery, why I even heard Rodan and King Ghidorah going at it a few years ago...

What are you reporting for? Where will your story appear?

I did some searchin' and it looks like he writes for the Daily News...would be nice if he identified himself in so much...

lysiak, good luck with your story. If you quote anybody from the boards, please do credit them with the quote. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but you'd be surprised how many times that gets overlooked!

Well, c'mon down. I mentioned in another post how I've been introduced to the lustful, wanton call of the wild since last month every night beginning at 12:15 am!

My slut mockingbirds should give quite a good interview, seeing as they have yet to be serviced in a manner that would keep them quiet.

Restless Brooklyn residents chirp over mockingbird noise
New York Daily News - New York,NY,USA
"In the past two weeks the back of my building has become the Amazon," said a Clinton Hill resident on the Brooklynian message board. ...
Maybe I wasn't being clear enough, but the hope is that reporters will quote users by name, rather than "a poster on Brooklynian." Good story, though.

You want them to quote using the posters real name or the username? I'm not sure that quoting as "Poshspice, a poster on Brooklynian" adds much to the story. Who knows...this making news out of message boards/blog postings is a new and evolving trend.
