Does anyone know a website where I can find the crime stats for a particular block/building?

Thanks.

You're afraid someone was or will be murdered in the apartment you want to buy?

I only know of these websites:

    http://www.nytimes.com/packages/html/nyregion/20060428_HOMICIDE_MAP.html

The compstat (NYC crime data) isn't released on a block by block level...only by precinct, weekly.

Supposedly there's a pin map of crimes in the local precinct - I'm not sure if that's publicly available...we'd probably have to ask KWAC or Parade Rest.

And, if all else fails - and assuming you are asking about a local block - there's always our mugging map (which has a lot of non-mugging crimes on it). Far from perfect reporting, but should give you some indications of hotspots.

They can do a complaint report search by building number at the pct. What information are you looking for specifically?

If this is for somewhere that you are planning to move, just list the block and what it is between (i.e., St. John's between Washington and Underhill). People on the board should be able to help you if there is a particular problem with that block.
