Architect needed

My boyfreind and I are joining two apartments, we found an architect who did work on the apartment upstairs but he is not very responsive. We need an architect to draw up plans for a door between the apartments and file this job as well as capping off the gas in the kitchen.

Does anyone out there know any responsive and responsible architects they can recommend for this job?

Rule No. 1:
Don't look for personal references especially if you're not that person giving them,
How much reference do you want. AIA has plenty. But who are you kidding, I think this is a matter of economics. AIA Architects can be expensive and sounds like you're not able to afford one

I did thank you for your advice to look at the AIA site. As to our financial well being I am so glad that you were able to figure that out from such a simple post.

I actually like using personal references. AIA only tells you if they are liscensed and might have a link to a fancy website. The site says nothing about character or the architects ability to communicate with their clients or how efficient they are.

<on the off topic> isn't there something to be done about these assholes? I feel bad for our long-suffering mods...
