Revisit of the dumb mac question

I don't know WHAT I did to my safari browser, but the end result is that I am now missing the address bar and I don't know how to get it back. HALP!

go to "view", "toolbars" and select navigation

press and hold command (the apple key) on your key board, then press "i"

or "view" > "show tool bar"

my mac's hard drive is not booting on occasion, and utilities tell me bad things will soon happen...
