Robberies in WT

There were 3 break ins last night on 7th Ave near 16/17th st. The man who told me said his place was broken into, but the guy must've left because he heard the radio on. Scary stuff. I know the 72nd precinct is not as involved with WT as the 78 is with Park Slope, but c'mon!! WTF is going on?! :shock:

Well, fuck.
I went to move the car last night at about 2:30am (alternative-side parking today) and as I close the front door I saw a fire trucking making its way up the block, slowly. The lights were on and it was fully-crewed, but there didn't seem to be a huge level of urgency.

They stopped shortly in front of my place as I started walking to the car, and then once I started the engine they moved up and over by where the exit from Prospect Expressway spills into 18th & 8th, seemingly to let me through while still wanting to stick in the area.

They were still there, lights on, when I was walking back home 5 minutes later, but left as I was walking down the block. I wonder if it was related?
