Dinner for 8 - need help!

Okay, I was just put in charge of finding a place for 8 people to dine on Friday night.

Any suggestions?

(I don't mind crossing over into other areas. For reference, we were originally planning on going to Aero in Bay Ridge. I've never been there and don't know what that's like, but perhaps you do.)

    Osteria Convivium on 5th Ave in Park Slope is nice and accommodated a party of this size for me a few years ago

    Nice-ish? But, not too nice. Fun, vibrant, hip (gasp!)...

    Type of food is negotiable.

    Brooklyn Exposure on Bedford and St. Marks. The food is good and so is the music.
